A Full Stack Developer

Bureau for Visual Affairs would like to meet Full Stack Developers for non-run-of-the-mill projects.

At Bureau for Visual Affairs we plan, design and develop user-experiences across culture, fashion and lifestyle, focusing on what defines today’s institutions and brands: experience, content and relevancy. We are looking for a Junior or Mid-weight Full-Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic and growing team in Borough, London — or potentially Berlin.

In this role you will be part of a communicative, highly skilled development team, working on a wide variety of projects from large-scale content platforms to e-commerce. You will be working with our full-stack which typically includes Node.js and Python applications, React and GraphQL. You will be directly involved with our clients and design process.

About you

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with a keen interest in technology, who enjoys the process of working with what we think is a highly interesting community of clients (see below), and a very knowledgeable and motivated team.

You should also bring with you a good eye for detail, communications skills and bring the following:

— 1–6 years experience

— Knowledge of Node.js and Python

— Familiarity with React.js

— Experience with GraphQL / REST

— Experience with E-commerce

— Aptitude for systematic design

— Problem solving attitude

— Enjoy faithfully translating designs — Good knowledge of Javascript

— Experience with git

— Comfortable using command line tools
